The third Stoke CON Trent event has gone underway, delighting geeks, gamers, artists, film buffs and families from Staffordshire and beyond!
The event started with a bang with a fireworks display hailing the grand opening. People from up and down the country came to see the events on show, ranging from celebrity guests to merchandise and memorabilia, as well as attractions such as Quasar laser tag and the ever illustrious cosplay parade and competition. With around 2’000 people expected to attend Stoke-Con-Trent throughout the day, it is certainly clear the event remains as brilliant and popular as ever.
The Leek Road Venue hailed the event with themed food at it’s Verve bar area, with Star Wars themed meals such as the “Scruffy Nerf Burger” and “Han . More conventional food was available from the Street Feast stall, offering regular Burgers, Hot Dogs and pulled meat sandwiches, as well as some eco-friendly veggie options.
And it wouldn’t be a Stoke Con Trent without the comic artists, with the University’s Brindley Building housing everyone, from budding small artists from the University to industry big cheeses such as Simon “Him Off The Viz” Donald.
The event is still underway, with many more things in store, including the renowned cosplay contest and sword fighting master class with Games of Thrones star Miltos Yerolemou.
