Cosplay in association with Crafty Magick

This year’s Cosplay is set to be the best ever thanks to our wonderful sponsors Crafty Magick who are based in Tunstall Market. Crafty Magick have raised the bar and will be awarding a magnificent prize of a 40″ TV to the overall winner of the Stoke CON Trent #9 Cosplay.

Cosplay is roleplay in costume, so we want to see as many people coming to Stoke CON Trent as their favourite TV, film, game or comic book character, whoever that may be.

We will be still doing the over 16 and under 16 awards, but we have TWO new categories!!!
We have a group award for the best collective and ‘Dress like a guest’. This award will be given to the best cosplay of any of this October’s guests.

Crafty Magick are sponsoring the competition again and there will be an overall winner who will be presented with a brand new 40” TV as well as their trophy!

There will be a clapometer on stage, so the winners will be decided by you

So come and strut your stuff whilst the crowd marvel at the array of outfits.

British wildlife rescue centre at SCT #8

British Wildlife Rescue Centre

We welcome the British Wildlife Rescue Centre (BWRC) to Stoke CON Trent #8 to help them fundraise and raise awareness of their work.. They will be bringing some of their Owls along to SCT #8

Here’s some information about the work they do…..

The British Wildlife Rescue Centre is a non-profit charity that cares for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife which is often brought in to us by members of the public and the RSPCA. It consists of a hospital with veterinary cover, a pool for the rehabilitation of water birds, spacious aviaries and enclosures and housing for reptiles.

We run on donations made by generous members of the public and by fundraising throughout the year.  The animals that come to us are rehabilitated for release back into the wild.

We also take in unwanted pets and small animals they are given permanent homes with us at the centre where they live as full lives as possible in spacious enclosures with natural surroundings. The animals are cared for at the by a small team of permanent staff and volunteers who give them lots of tender loving care.

To make a donation towards our running costs: donations@thebwrc.com or find other way to help at: www.thebwrc.com
